I heard a message on the radio recently that reminded me of God’s creativity. That wasn’t news to me--just look around and it’s evident--but the idea of us being a “chip” off the Creator’s block was a refreshing thought.  The Bible tells us, “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.” ~ James 1:17 NASB

I’m thankful for the seeds of creativity that He’s planted in each of us, aren’t you?

Creativity is a funny thing. One medium leads to another and every so often I’ll find myself pulled in by something new. Two years ago, I took up beading. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know, and a friend encouraged me to open a shop at Etsy, an online store for handmade artisans. My shop is named Beadspiration. I opened a second shop recently, which displays my polymer clay work. I call it Clayspiration. I’m studying polymer clay techniques from a couple of experienced artists online, and it’s a great creative outlet for me. My ten-year-old granddaughter and I have clay days together now, too--fun!
