Have you ever taken a long walk in the woods, and really studied your surroundings? We live in such a fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the details that make nature so fresh and exciting. In our rush to get somewhere fast, it’s easy to lose the spontaneity we once had as children.
I remember discovering tiny seedpods at the edge of a mountain pond one fall afternoon. They were there all along, but I’d visited the pond several times before and never noticed them. On this particular day, though, late afternoon light had illuminated the entire area, casting long fingers of light across the fiery orange-gold autumn setting. It was only a small discovery, yet a big example of our Creator’s loving concern for details--even the details of your life and mine.
